Over the Fallow Flood: transcorporeality and material herstoriography reading group

31 March 2021
7-8:30pm

Join us on Wednesday 31st March 7-8:30pm for Over the Fallow Flood: transcorporeality and material herstoriography reading group that forms the second reading group hosted as a part of Carl Gent’s research project with Jupiter Woods.

The session will look at a number of short extracts from a variety of texts, songs and movies focusing on Stacy Alaimo’s figure of the transcorporeal outlined in Bodily Natures (2010), Legacy Russell's Glitch Feminism (2020), the English folk song John Barleycorn and Julianne Moore’s performance in 1995’s Safe.

Alongside these core texts we’ll also touch on a range of other resources that ask how feminist her/istoriography can best be practiced. The resources will be forwarded ahead of the session as well as read through on the night.
